Provides rules of thumb to manage personal finances and make the best possible money decisions. This includes budgeting skills, choosing a bank, managing debt, monitoring expenses and setting spending limits.
Workforce Development
Provide learning-for-work skills including basic computer skills, resume writing, job search, mock interviews, dressing for success, strategies for maintaining employment.
Basic Computer Skills
Through professional knowledge, trainers will administer basic computer training to Returning Citizens which include how to enter data from prepared resumes on the internet, how to search for suitable employment based on their gained experience before incarceration.
Dressing for success strategies and job security
Returning Citizens will be trained on the importance of another person’s perception of who they are in the work place, how first impressions are lasting, and that job security is based on positive attitude and professionalism.
We will accomplish these goals by focusing on personal development, workforce development, managing personal finances, building resumes, basic computer skills, dressing for success strategies, and job security.
